Daddy is Trying to Kill the Kids

I was out of town for work this weekend (as I usually am). Yesterday afternoon I get a phone call while at work from Daddy wanting to know if I got the picture message from him. I hadn't noticed one, so I looked...the caption simply said "guess what I found for the kids". I won't bother trying to post the picture message itself at it's really hard to see, but I was able to cross my eyes just far enough to realize what it was.
"Oh no you didn't."
"Yep."
"Did you already buy it?"
"Yep."
"Oh good lord."
I'll spare you the rest of the exciting conversation about him trying to murder our children & that he also needed to get fruit snacks & dog food.

So I'm sure you're dying to know at this point what method of torture he's planning for my sweet babies?
Behold the death trap awesomeness: http://www.amazon.com/Toy-Story-inch-Jumbo-Ball/dp/B003XXLEII
I'll give you a minute...(*quietly hums*)

See that open spot on the left side there next to Woody? The kids go IN there. I'm not even joking!! My kids are going to kill themselves in this thing! The sad part? I will be laughing until I pee the entire time!

Caught Up - Last Weekend - Firewood!!

We went up and started what will be a weekend tradition for the next few weeks. We cut firewood for this winter. This is the first time we've done it so it was quite the adventure. One I am paying for dearly now. Ugh! My back!

Things I Never Thought I'd Say...

"Please stop picking your nose with your toes."

"Mama, I'm stuck in the mud!"

This is what I heard the other day coming from Bug's bedroom.

Me: "I beg your pardon."
Bug: "I'm stuck mama."
Me: "OK, I'm coming."

This is what I found...

Me: "Do you want some help?"
Bug: "No I'm good."
Me: "Do you want me to get you out?" (Through hysterical laughing now.)
Bug: "No. Can I have my Winnie the Pooh blankie?"
Me: "Uh, sure."

Bug: "Thank you mama, I'm good now."
Me: "You're welcome, (more hysterical laughing) just let me know when you need help out."
Bug: "OK."

It was almost 10 minutes later that she finally decided she needed help out!

Err arr ooo?

I'm right here, err arr ooo?

Little Dude has been talking up a storm this week! He'll repeat just about anything you ask him to and his new favorite is "err arr ooo" (where are you).
"Mama err arr ooo?"
"Joos err arr ooo?" (juice)
"Blank err arr ooo?" (blanket)
"Cat err arr ooo?" (Cat in the Hat plush)
"Goggie err arr ooo?" (the dog)
"Peelow err arr ooo?" (pillow)
It's exceptionally amusing because as soon as something is out of eye-shot, he's asking away!! I just love that he's talking so much in his little language, it just busts me up!

Bug also has a new phrase: "Friggin' Dog"
The outdoor dogs have gotten out twice this week from their pen, and Grandma told me that when she tells the kids she's going to go outside and put them back in, Bug says "friggin dog" and puts her hands on her hips!! I haven't witnessed this myself, but I'm sure it won't take long! Her new saying for mommy is "WHAT". Not the cute "what", but the Diva "what", like I've just interrupted something extremely important to ask her a ridiculous question she just doesn't have time for! (We're working on this one now...)

Buggy's Going to be a Paleontolgist!

She's already sketching out her first discovery:

The Magnadoodlesaurus

That's It - I'm Boxing Up the Children & Sending Them to Abu-Dhabi

...because that's where they want to go.

Little Dude is usually the first one to spot an empty box somewhere in the house. No matter where it is, he'll drag it to you, insist that you help him inside, and will start to chant "Dhabi" over and over until you start closing flaps over top of him.
See one time. ONE TIME. Daddy put Little Dude in a big empty diaper box and threatened to send him to Abu Dhabi. Well, now Dude WANTS to go to Abu Dhabi - regularly!
