Daddy is Trying to Kill the Kids

I was out of town for work this weekend (as I usually am). Yesterday afternoon I get a phone call while at work from Daddy wanting to know if I got the picture message from him. I hadn't noticed one, so I looked...the caption simply said "guess what I found for the kids". I won't bother trying to post the picture message itself at it's really hard to see, but I was able to cross my eyes just far enough to realize what it was.

"Oh no you didn't."

"Yep."

"Did you already buy it?"

"Yep."

"Oh good lord."

I'll spare you the rest of the exciting conversation about him trying to murder our children & that he also needed to get fruit snacks & dog food.

So I'm sure you're dying to know at this point what method of torture he's planning for my sweet babies?

Catching Up # 3 - The Fair

We almost didn't get to go to the fair this year, but at the last minute I was able to get the last Friday of it off from work, so we went to see the animals. Oh yeah, & Blake Shelton! WOOHOO!

The concert was GREAT! We had horrible seats (camera has good zoom), but it was still a great show with lots of suprises!

Fourth of July

We started off with snappers or poppers or whatever you call them in the early evening (those things that shoot confetti).

I put a big comfy blanket in the front yard for the kids to lay on, along with big pillows off the couch and their blankies for the show.

I was really impressed with the pictures I was getting from our little point & shoot digital camera. It actually has a "fireworks" setting on it!

One of the very few fountains we had that had any color in it at all - we were really disappointed with the lack of COLORS in our fireworks this year. Stupid economy!! :P
