Camouflage - I haz it!

This is one of our barn-less kitties (I'd call him a barn cat, but we don't have a barn right now)! We used to call him The Untouchable because you can't get anywhere near him to pet him. Well to make a long story short, now that his momma seems to have disappeared, he's hanging around a lot more. You can sometimes touch him, especially if he's eating, but is still kinda jumpy. Considering that he's becoming a little friendlier, I decided to name him.

Meet Jasper! Yes, as in the somewhat creepy, kinda cool vampire from the Twilight Saga...believe me, it fits him perfectly!

A new family member!

I know my mom is going to kill all of us for doing this, but we got a dog!!
Finally a family dog that can be in the house and play with the kids and hang out. See, ever since Taz (our rottweiler) passed away, it seems like that void has always been there for a 4 legged critter in the house.
Well I found him at the animal shelter I used to volunteer at and he's been WONDERFUL! I didn't want to post anything about him right away because we wanted to make sure that he'd fit in to the family good and most of all, that Little Dude wasn't going to break out into a raging eczema episode or have some other type of bad reaction to him.
Well I am happy, no OVERJOYED to report that everything has been GREAT!! Little Dude has had ZERO reaction to him. (Except for the overwhelming desire to snuggle with the "gog" all hours of the day!)
Literally the worst part of this whole thing was trying to pick out a name for him! The shelter had named him 'Bosco' & all I have to say about that is uhhh....no! So I've spent the last 3 days trying different names on him, ones I can think of, suggestions from friends, names of the Internet, etc. None didn't seem to fit, or if I liked them, daddy didn't. So yesterday I'm sitting on the couch with him (his favorite spot since day one) and the kids are in Bug's room playing - when she starts hollering at Dude (obviously he had taken something from her). Well, the dog got up and walked into the bedroom, shortly after, he came back out, leaving both kids giggling behind him. As he climbed up on the couch again, he looked at me as if to say "no worries, I got it", and I looked back and said out loud "what are you, their warden" and it's STUCK. He's done the same thing a couple more times, and even follows me into the kids' room every time I go in to change one of their diapers.
So his name is Warden. More specifically (thanks to a really awesome friend on laughingplace) Warden Smooshums Rumpleface! (The original incantation of that was Commodore Smooshums Rumpleface but Warden fits the pooch so much better!)
Oh, after all that annoying back story you probably wanna know more about the dog huh?!
He's an English Bulldog - they estimate he's probably 2 years old or so & knows lots of commands already like sit, down, outside/potty. It's really funny - if he has to go 'out' - he'll walk to the front door and growl - it's HILARIOUS! Oh and he sleeps aaaaa lot! I know Bulldogs are known to be lazy bones but sheesh! I'm hoping a lot of it is catching up from lost sleep from being in a shelter!
Anyways...enough blabbing! Here he is:

See I told you he slept a lot - darn guy won't even wake up for a picture!!
